Just me again

 I cannot believe that it is now February 2022.... I was going to keep update with this blog on a regular basis... my life has taken on big changes.... My husband of 57 years passed away January 2021...our little dog Middie passed away in September of the same year ... I puddled on getting through the first year with my Staffy Maggie Mae by my side ...On Monday 14th February this year I had to make a heartbreaking decision off saying goodbye to her .. she passed away peacefully by my side ... I’m alone feeling lost really ... now I’m just going to try and get on with what ever time I’ve got left.... my intentions are to do some visiting ... my sisters , go to Queensland in the Winter ... well that’s my plan part of it anyway...

I did this layout on a whim ... just picked up this photo of my mum and thought I'll scrap that ... I've not many pics of mum as she's in a nursing home too far for me to visit often... my sisters get together twice a year for a "Mum & Sister " visit as we all live far from each other... Mum is now in her 92nd year ... we are getting together for another Mothers Day visit those of us that can 2 of my sisters are too far and 1 brother much too far...We are hoping she is still with us till then ... tho I'm afraid she does not she's very tired had a rather hard life and is ready to go and join Dad, I know this layout is blue [the mood board pink] but I went for the feeling and the thoughts of love and beauty from the mood board.

I have chosen a selfie of my Granddaughter No 4 for the subject of my layout for this challenge ....
She comes up with some fabulous ones ... some sad ... happy.. melancholy.. you name it she's got the face for it...This one I have called it Mona Lisa smile ... is she sad happy or just sulking...

I went for the colours of the board and the beautiful red rose ... I love flowers on my layouts..
Looks like the colours are so different must be the light I took my photo in..

More than Words challenge Wonderful & Sparkle

My layout is not of my usual style ... I've no flowers .. I thought this precious girl was enough without too much embellishment... the quote I used was written in black I went over it with gold ink but doesn't show up in the photo.. I used gold doily cut in half with a few gold hearts  for embellishments for Sparkle..
The quote reads ...
               " You are special and amazing and are here to do wonderful things
                  follow your heart and let your beautiful light shine "
the little words at the bottom of the layout are  " make it happen "  "everyday "
This gorgeous girl is having a hard time coping with anxiety and depression and has been for quite a few years... she has support and the love of many .... everyday is precious..she has the most beautiful smile
sparkling eyes and she is my butterfly...

White with 1 Challenge Chocolate

My master piece for this Challenge .......I cannot seem to get a straight photo ...
the colours look pale but they are chocolate in different shades and medium as with the white..
My title is a quote but forget where  I got it .... Journaling reads  [in part] my sister Shirley taken at mum & dads on the occasion of dads 70th ....[.back when ? I haven't worked it out but it was more than 10 years..].

I did this on the spur of the moment as I was having a "TIDY UP " of my craft room and had so much of the odd bits of whatever so I decided to start using them up in a fashion of confusion....meaning where ever they fit in.. My background seems to suite my personality .. to me anyway.. I'm here there and everywhere and sometimes just go around in circles I took this photo using web cam at 5-30 am .. My Maggie mae dog get me up at 5am so I start early on my computer fiddling..Some of the words cannot be seen on this very clearly I have also written a list of what I like and placed it in a clear pocket on the back of this layout. ... I'm not a great  "Selfie" taker....

White with one challenge Jan.

Green is not an easy colour on it's own ...trying to find a photo to scrap using white & green not easy ...
I came up with this photo taken 2011 when we had a bit of a flood ...our dam flowed over because of all the rain we had as we get the overflow from other property and dams ... it was good to see as it has been a long time since our dam has had water... it's dry as ....now ..don't know when it will fill again.   [The flowers are green but look a bit blue in this pic ]

I had a spot of bother trying to find" Majorca Blue"

there were so many different interpretations of the colour, this is what I made up myself using navy blue with a dash or two of white pretty close I thought to what was on the challenge pic.
the photo is of two of my sisters at one sisters son's wedding..The title is "We will be Swinging from the Chandelier tonight "

Long time away

I was going to be adding to my blog on a regular basis but sadly that has not happened
.I came across some beautiful projects created by Mitt Lille and she has a giveaway on at the moment celebrating two years marvelous ones at that of papercrafting.I'll post a pic on my side bar as requested .  October 25th 2015.
It is an age since I have been on my blog. ... not been very active over Winter as it's too cold in my craft room . I will have to make changes for next cold season.  I have soooooo many changes to make ...
                                       Tidy up and put in place all my scrapbooking "STUFF"
                                       Recycle all unwanted clothing . [instead of just hoarding for another day ]
                                       and that goes for magazines and the like..
                                       Do gardening .and more scrappin.......

I have been creating many layouts but not so much entering into challenges only on one facebook one were there are 5 challenges for the month. I will put my entries up here when I get a moment to find them , they are hidden in this computer somewhere.....Found them . A colour challenge . Grey / Lemon / with a dash of Black........The other one is a " scrap lift  " ..more for another day...

I just felt the need for flowers as on the challenge guide.. I used this photo of the path at the back of our house. My daughter in law and grandson cleared it for me I just had to take a pic of it as it soon over grows..
I though it looked just like a mystery path  perhaps fairies maybe at the bottom of this garden path amongst the flowers..

Having another shot at the WHITE..... with 1    Colour Challenge for July.this time .
I'd missed a couple as i was frustrated about the colour not being able to find the colour as specified but now knowing that the best match is what is asked for i feel better about it and do my best ti find the best matching one.
I've done another layout using my granddaughters "SELFY" ...
This particular look makes me straight away think of the song ..".MELANCHOLY BABY "
which I've used as my title......

Had a look at this colour challenge and liked it so i went searching for the right this and that... things the one can never find when one wants them... I have come up with this.. My 2nd sons wedding 15 yrs ago . The time has flown by I remember it as if was yesterday. ...

I have also made a card one for any reason. I like to do a card sometimes when I feel in the mood to do so one cannot have too many on hand. I do do special ones too when I feel extra crafty...

I have come up with this card as i so loved the little purple flowers on the cup cakes.That is where my inspiration came from..Colour is not the best as usual the little dots around are antique sliver I took the pic while they were still a bit wet.

Once again I've chosen another photo of my son and daughter inlaw"s wedding photos from their beach wedding.
The setting was just so beautiful .I truly thought the quote was just perfect so I used it for the title also for the journal part as I felt the photo said all that was needed .
The colours also I chose from the board just fell into place

I remembered this pic taken around 1966 must have been on the cool side as I had a cardi on ....I sent this pic to my husband who was stationed in New Guinea at the time ..
